HSBC is the most global of the big four banks. The other big four banks have a higher proprtion of assets in the UK.
Lloyds Banking Group is the smallest of the big four banks by total assets but has the smallest offshore presence of the big four banking groups. It is currently second in the UK market.

Santander Uk to rebrand all of its major UK High Street brands – Abbey, Alliance & Leicester and Bradford & Bingley to Santander. By June 2011 theses brands will disapper.
